Eit siste ynskje
Arva og ettermæle
Vil nokon hugse meg?
Vil namnet mitt stå i stein,
Eller gløymt av alle og einkvar?
Å vere meiningslaus
Stikk ein kniv i meg
Vrir han sakte rundt
I hjartet mitt
Er alt av meg utan verdi?
Mon tru kva står
Om hundre år
Mi gjerning må minnast
Mi gjerning skal heidrast
Vil ikkje forsvinne i gløymselen
Vil namnet mitt stå i stein,

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

It's really hard to pick a favorite Enslaved album but this one is in my top 3. Intoxicating atmosphere and excellent songwriting. This is a 10/10 album 9RnK7

Jordan Vauvert
